Saddlers Favourite Christmas Cocktails

What’s the best thing about Christmas? The cocktails, of course! We’ve hand-picked our top three festive tipples from some of our favourite local spirit brands for you to enjoy over the Christmas season.

Winter Cocktail | Curio Gin

This delicious citrusy Hot Toddy from Cornish gin, Curio, is super simple to make and will warm you up a treat.

50ml Curio Cornish Cup
200ml Ginger Beer
1 heaped tsp orange marmalade

Gently heat the ginger beer until hot, add the tsp of marmalade and let this dissolve into the liquid. Pour over the Cornish Cup into a highball glass. Add a wedge of orange to garnish. Enjoy!

Christmas collins | black cow vodka

This cocktail is a real festive treat from our favourite Dorset vodka, Black Cow. It’s super luxurious and will leave your friends and family queuing up for more.

50ml Black Cow Vodka
15ml (Monin) Chestnut syrup*
20ml Clementine juice
Top with soda

Build in a highball glass. Garnish with (chestnut) orange wedge.

*Homemade Chestnut Syrup
Make 700ml of ‘rich’ Demerara syrup infused with vanilla and orange zest, roast 2 cups of chestnuts, remove skin, add to cooled syrup, add 50ml Black Cow Vodka place in a sealed container and leave in the fridge for 5 days.

French 75 | Ramsbury

The simplest of Christmas cocktails - the Rosemary French 75. Simply shake together Wiltshire Ramsbury gin, ice, sugar and lemon before straining the mix into your glasses. Top off with that extra special bottle of champagne you’ve been saving, then garnish with a sprig of Rosemary for a unique finish. Perfect for pre-lunch drinks to share with your nearest and dearest.
